For our out of town guests or maybe date night for locals :) Downtown Phoenix Google results/map for Hotels, click here.
These are the 2 closest hotels to the wedding venue, we have reserved a block of rooms at both hotels:
If you have any issues booking the hotels above, contact us here, and let us know please.

These 2 closest hotels are a 10 min walk (directions here) to The Icehouse. The weather should be nice so certainly is an option. There will be a Trolley service running in a loop from the 2 hotels to the venue and back, just look for other dressed up wedding guests out front of the hotels, it will be coming around every 15/20mins or so. The Trolley is completely FREE and NO tipping is needed. After the reception you can walk or Uber back to the hotel or to the after party at The Duce.
All of the other hotels are nice and most are new or remodeled fairly recently. They are within a 15-25min walk to the venue or a $6-8 Uber/Lyft ride. They all have their own restaurant and bar option(s) on the hotel property.
The Phoenix Airport is a $10-15 Uber/Lyft ride, so unless you are going to go out exploring Phoenix beyond the downtown areas (To Do's below) you shouldn't really need to rent a car. Parking at most hotel locations will be in the $35 per night range (our Marriott is $33 per night). If you do need a car, click this Phoenix Airport rental car link for more information. Also, once downtown, the nearby Hyatt Regency Phoenix does have a Enterprise rental car service on property.
Phoenix averages a daily maximum temperature for October that's between 86 and 92 °F. The minimum temperature usually falls between 62 and 67 °F. October remains a fairly warm month overall, and shorts and T's can be worn during the days. For the Wedding, with the Semi Formal attire, men will be fine in a suit and for the ladies we would recommend a very light jacket/sweater or a wrap once the sun goes down.
Here is a few of the locals‘ favorite spots downtown you can Yelp or Google:
Most of the favorite options above will require a 10-25min walk or a short Uber/Lyft ride. In addition there are Grid bike rental racks that can be found on various corners through out downtown. (Gridbikes.com). Spin and Lime electric scooters are available to rent via their phone Apps, but have a specific downtown boundary area and No Ride zones which you can see on this map, if you ride outside the boundary or in the No Ride zones, the scooter will slow down and stop working, also scooters must be parked at parking stations (called out on the map link) or you’ll continue to be charged. There is a Light Rail train that runs through the city, but it's best used for getting in and out of downtown, not necessarily around downtown. (Valleymetro.org) Since it will be the weekend there will also likely be few independent Pedicabs running around the city as well and they work purely on tips.
Very close to the hotels is Cityscape center (restaurant listing). Multiple bars and restaurants can be found there, as well as a CVS and an Urban Outfitters. For a quick bite, there are a few fast food options in the area such as , a Taco Bell Cantina (with Beers), Carl's Jr, Chipotle, Five Guys burgers and then Zookz, Potbelly, Jimmy John's and Subway as sandwich options. On this link you can see Yelp reviews for some of these food/bar options in the area.
Phoenix has plenty entertainment options for everyone. There is a Lucky Strike Bowling Alley, Stand Up Live Comedy Club and Gym in the Cityscape center. The Arizona Diamondbacks MLB stadium is close as well, and while they will not be playing October baseball, there is a TGIF's restaurant and bar inside that is open 365 days a year if you wanted to pop in and just see the stadium.
Kids will enjoy the Children's Museum (site link) and The Arizona Science Center, (site link) both within walking distance of the hotels. A little further way, 15-25 mins by car, is the Phoenix Zoo (site link).
Planning on extending your stay here in Arizona? In Phoenix we have some great areas to explore; Old Town Scottsdale, Tempe/Mill Ave./ASU, world class golf and many great hiking and biking trails. Beyond the Phoenix area you have Sedona, Flagstaff, and of course the Grand Canyon. You can check this site for more information on Arizona tourism. (visitarizona.com)
